Make Sure You Bring Your Shirt

Image
Each kid was given a Seeds of Change T-Shirt... they must wear them on the flight to Costa Rica. This will help Mr. Heintz and Mrs. Bowman keep track of the kids in the airport. We also have provided a nice yellow field notebook for students to use while learning and recording. Don't forget it.

What? A Real Chocolate Farm? Yes... that is correct. Students from Lexington Catholic, Mercy Academy and Trinity High School are staying at a working chocolate farm in the middle of Costa Rica's rainforest. Finca La Anita is an eco-tourism resort for most of the year and they host high school students during the summer (their rainy season).

Meet Our Teachers

Don't worry, we aren't sending your students to Costa Rica without a little adult guidance. Meet our teachers going on this year's trip: Mrs. Marilynn Bowman is representing Mercy Academy. She teaches Biology and has sponsored many science trips over the years. Mr. Patrick Heintz teaches Chemistry and Biology at Trinity High School. This will be Patrick's 5th trip to Costa Rica working with Seeds of Change. Mrs. Cynthia Smith teaches Chemistry and Anatomy at Lexington Catholic High School. This is Cynthia's second trip to Costa Rica with Seeds of Change.

T-Shirts Are In

A sure sign that the trip is a go... T-Shirts are in and ready to be passed out. Take a look at Gavin, sporting a new shirt. Students will wear these when they travel through the airports on our way to beautiful Costa Rica.
